Even during the hot summer days, whoever planned the design of the boulevard got it spot on. As you wonder along the walkways, hidden pipes spray a fine mist of water on passers by, keeping you refreshed, and eager to soldier on and burn the cash !! Small concession stands are dotted throughout the boulevard, some offering tasty treats and others selling arts & crafts, accessories and fun stuff for the kids. You can browse some great stores such as Oysho, Zara, Pull & Bear, Swarovski, Adidas and Salvador Artesano. Check out the latest electronics and gadgets in Media Markt, or pick up some bargains in H&M and Primark. Sports enthusiasts can take a wonder through the large and excellently stocked Decathlon Sports, and for the keen handyman, Leroy Merlin is your Spanish equivalent to Britain’s B&Q. If an entire aisle dedicated to cured ham and sausage, and another filled with every conceivable type of tinned fish and seafood is to your liking, the huge Al Campo Supermarket will have you wishing you brought more cash.

How about a bit of entertainment. Kids just don’t want to leave Zenia Boulevard, and many families do make a day of it. There are soft play areas with random jets of water that get the little ones squealing in delight, Pleno Bowling Alley, electric ride on animals or sports cars, and a funky mini London double decker bus that cruises the walkways. On the boulevard’s upper level there is a great selection of restaurants that include local and international cuisine, tapas, pizza and fast food favourites like Subway and Burger King. Here you can sit on the terraces and look out at sea views whilst enjoying live music from the entertainment area below. The area also has a huge TV screen for televising popular live events. Why not have a little flutter before calling it a night in Zenia Boulevard’s Casino Mediterráneo, although you may want to visit without the kids as it’s adults only.

Parking is never a problem, with 5,000 parking spaces including ones for motorcycles and disabled bays as well as handy maps, symbols and colour codes so you won’t forget where you parked.
